“Thìa” – Charles Simic

Charles Simic (1938–2023) là nhà thơ người Mỹ gốc Serbia. Ông được trao giải Pulitzer cho thơ năm 1990, giải thơ Griffin quốc tế năm 2005, và giải Wallace Stevens năm 2007.

Thìa

Một cái thìa cũ,
Gặm
Và liếm sạch,

Nhìn mi chằm chằm
Bằng cái nhìn
Mắt quỷ,

Khi mi cúi
Xuống bát xúp
Trên bàn,

Để chắc cú
Một lần nữa
Chẳng còn gì sót lại.
