“Giải cấu trúc” – Mary Ruefle

Mary Ruefle sinh năm 1952 ở McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Bà được trao giải Whiting cho thơ năm 1995 và giải William Carlos Williams năm 2011, và dạy ở Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Tôi nghĩ các nhân ngư trong Odyssey hát Odyssey,
vì chẳng có gì quyến rũ hơn, hãi hùng hơn
câu chuyện của đời chúng ta, câu chuyện mà chúng ta không
muốn nghe thấy và sẽ làm bất cứ điều gì để nghe.
